Apple Is Giving Some 2TB iCloud+ Users More Than Just Cloud Storage

Some 2TB iCloud+ subscribers are reportedly being offered Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra cost, adding entertainment benefits to Apple’s premium cloud-storage

For some Apple users, paying for cloud storage could soon come with a little more entertainment on the side.

Apple is reportedly expanding the benefits attached to its 2TB iCloud+ subscription, with some subscribers being offered access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade without paying an additional fee.

The move could make the higher-tier iCloud+ plan more appealing to users who already rely on Apple for storing photos, videos, documents and other personal files, while also enjoying the company’s growing entertainment ecosystem.

Under the reported offer, eligible 2TB subscribers can continue using their existing cloud storage while gaining access to Apple TV, Apple’s streaming service featuring premium movies and series, as well as Apple Arcade, its gaming subscription service with more than 200 games.

For users already paying for the 2TB plan, the added entertainment benefits could effectively turn an otherwise storage-focused subscription into a broader Apple lifestyle package.

However, the offer does not appear to be universal for every 2TB iCloud+ subscriber. Availability may depend on the account or market, meaning users will need to check their individual subscription details to see whether the additional benefits have been activated.

The easiest way to check is through the Apple ID subscription settings, where users can review the services currently attached to their iCloud+ plan.

The development also reflects the increasingly blurred line between cloud storage and entertainment subscriptions, as major technology companies look to bundle more services into existing packages rather than asking consumers to pay for each service separately.

For Apple users who already live deep inside the ecosystem, the possibility of getting streaming entertainment and gaming alongside 2TB of storage could make the subscription feel considerably more valuable.

So, before signing up for another entertainment subscription, it may be worth checking what your existing Apple plan is already offering.
