Kampala's ministers of enjoyment have another date with the good life this weekend.
On Sunday, September 27, luxury tequila brand Don Julio will return to Mediterraneo for the second edition of its Tequila Sundowner, bringing together premium drinks, food and a soundtrack designed to carry guests from afternoon into night.
Following the first edition, this instalment promises another stylish close to the month, with French DJ Phaphane leading the entertainment lineup.
Known for his Amapiano sets, Phaphane is expected to take guests through a musical mix spanning AfroHouse, Gqom, private school and piano, setting the tone for an afternoon that gradually transforms into a full evening experience.
He will be joined by a selection of Kampala DJs, including Don Julio influencers Sheilah Gashumba, popularly known as the Lil Stunner, and DJ Dash, among others.
The sundowner also comes during a week celebrating one of tequila's most recognisable cocktails — the Paloma, whose international day was marked on September 21.
For Don Julio, the occasion provides another reason to bring its tequila experience closer to its audience, with the brand promising an afternoon and evening centred on cocktails, bottle service and premium hospitality.

Guests are encouraged to come with friends and dress for the occasion, with the experience built around Don Julio in several forms, from cocktails and shots to bottle service.
For groups looking to make a full afternoon of it, packages start at Shs 800,000, which includes a food platter for four people and one bottle of Don Julio Reposado or Blanco.
The second package goes for Shs 1.5 million and comes with two bottles of Don Julio Reposado or Blanco and a food platter for six people.
At the top end is the Shs 2 million package, which includes two food platters serving eight people and one bottle of Don Julio 1942.
The party runs from 2:00pm to 11:00pm, giving guests several hours to settle into the sundowner before the evening reaches its peak.
