Uganda’s Trivia Elle Muhoza is proving that beauty can come with purpose — and her journey at the Miss World 2026 festival has just reached another exciting milestone.
The reigning Miss Uganda has secured a place among the Top Six African finalists in the Beauty With a Purpose (BWAP) fast-track competition, putting her humanitarian work firmly in the international spotlight.
Muhoza’s project, Wings of Hope, was selected from among initiatives presented by contestants across the continent, earning her a place in the continental round alongside representatives from Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.
The African finalists are Rumzia Sule of Ghana, Trizah Muhenje Akala of Kenya, Ireen Navicha of Malawi, Maryam Lorba Konneh of Sierra Leone, Brunette Makanyiso of Zimbabwe and Uganda’s Muhoza.
For Muhoza, the achievement is a continuation of the advocacy work that has been central to her reign.
Crowned Miss Uganda 2025/2026 last September, the aviation graduate from Uganda Aviation Academy has used her platform to champion community development, women’s empowerment and access to skills.
Her Wings of Hope initiative, run under the Empowering Mothers in Uganda programme, focuses on women facing domestic violence and economic dependency.
Through the project, Muhoza supports single mothers and survivors of gender-based violence with vocational training, skills development and mentorship, while also advocating for girls and women to pursue education in technical fields.
It is this combination of beauty, advocacy and practical community impact that has now earned her recognition on the Miss World stage.
Beauty With a Purpose is one of the pageant’s key fast-track competitions, giving contestants an opportunity to showcase projects designed to create meaningful and lasting change in their communities.
For Muhoza, the stakes are now even higher. The winner of the African BWAP round earns an automatic place in the Miss World Top 40, creating a valuable shortcut towards the competition’s final stages.
With Uganda now represented among Africa’s final six, attention turns to whether Muhoza can take Wings of Hope all the way.
Beyond the runway, the Ugandan beauty is making a case for a different kind of crown one measured not only in glamour, but in the lives changed along the way.
And for Uganda, that makes her Miss World journey one worth watching.
